I LOVE this course. Prior to the course i knew the alphabet and a few signs. Now I feel like I can have a conversation. Very slowly. :) I love that you break down the signs and show them from different angles. Also, that I could speed up, skip ahead, or slow it down if needed. I also really like that you note when a sign is similar or the same as another sign, or anything else that is helpful to know about a sign. Love the dialogues. And, you just make it fun.

AFTER you’ve learned ten signs, we’ll do two-part review for just those ten signs: 1) Signing 2) Understanding. We’ll repeat this cycle of learning ten signs + two part review throughout each sign category.
Love the test features of this course. Really makes sure you not only know how to sign but how to recognize what people are signing to you. Also, I appreciate the ASL tips in between chapters. Helpful for someone who is speaking learning about ASL outside of the deaf community so far.

The structure of each lesson really reinforces the signs, but most of all I like the detailed explanations of the signs, especially the hand shapes and facial expressions. I have taken many different classes online, and others also have their strengths, but this is by far the best for getting a clear understanding of how to make the signs.

This is a very good teaching plan or curriculum of sign language. It is direct to the point and not much annoyance of some unnecessary inclusions like some other programs. I like the directness of the teaching in which it teaches you directly the things that you need to know instead of going around the bush about certain things that is not necessarily teaching the sign language in other programs, kudos to whoever built this curriculum. The way that this curriculum is also done is really good for the learner because there is a review and repetition of things which helps me remember what I need to learn if I miss certain days of listening or watching this video.

Great, clear explanations and examples. Useful words. My daughter is a court reporter and has been learning ASL and is informally teaching her 1 year old daughter. Actually, Maeve can sign more, milk, hat, goodbye (proper hand gesture!), and sleep.
