π I saw that you have sign language courses on Udemy for much cheaper. Why should I purchase the ASL Bundle?
Great question.
In summary, the courses on Udemy represent only a small portion of our total ASL content. They DON'T receive instructor support, don't grow, aren't being updated, don't have ASL Daily Email For Beginners, don't have digital downloads, etc, etc.
The ASL Bundle For Beginners is alive and growing, has MANY more courses, includes ASL Daily Email For Beginners, has ongoing updates, includes instructor support, has additional sign language resources and extras, etc, etc.
Scroll down to explore the differences between what's on Udemy and what's included in the ASL Bundle For Beginners.
β Udemy has only eleven (11) of our ASL courses which aren't updated and don't get instructor support. Three (3) other courses are for learning English. (Yep. I used to teach English). Thousands of Udemy students have consistently given high ratings to these courses. As a reflection of this, my Udemy instructor rating is 4.8 out of 5 stars.
ο»Ώβ In contrast, our ASL Bundle For Beginners has over forty (40+) ASL courseswith instructor support, ASL Daily Email For Beginners, and ongoing updates. The number of courses in the ASL Bundle continues to grow. We already have more projects in the works. Click here to download our ASL Bundle Progress Chart PDF.
β Udemy does NOT include ASL Daily Email For Beginners. The Udemy courses do NOT include a daily email component.
β ASL Daily Email For Beginners is included in the ASL Bundle at no additional cost. It was one of the frequent updates for our ASL Bundle Members. Guess what? Our Members absolutely love it! Itβs just so simple and effective to have daily email lessons in addition to intensive ASL courses; especially for students with busy schedules and only a few minutes to spare at a time.
π As far as I can tell, there is NO other sign language program in existence (online or offline) that uses daily email lessons to compliment ASL courses and encourage student progress like our ASL Bundle does.
β Udemy has a First 500+ Basic Signs course which is recycled content from our First 1000+ Essential Signs course. Again, this Udemy course is without updates or instructor support. This course is a Bestseller on Udemy and is currently rated 4.8 out of 5 stars.
β The ASL Bundle For Beginners includes the entire 49-hour First 1000+ Essential Signs course. It has 1,787 lessons! This course is twice the size of the one on Udemy. It contains twice as many dialogues, twice as many sign categories, twice as many 2-part testing sections, twice as many ASL Tips, etc.
The First 1000+ Essential Signs course also includes instructor support. We provide detailed responses to student questions, share useful links to other resources in the ASL Bundle, etc, etc.
π The First 1000+ Essential Signs course is also connected to many of the homework links in the ASL Daily Email For Beginners. Homework? In email!? That's right.
β The Udemy courses donβt have ASL Digital Downloads. The courses on Udemy aren't being updated and don't include extras.
β The ASL Bundle For Beginners has extra ASL Digital Downloads. This includes ASL Font, ASL coloring pages, ASL eBooks, and more.
β The Udemy courses donβt receive instructor support. I uploaded courses on Udemy a long time ago as Able Lingo was growing. Since then, my focus has been on the ASL Bundle For Beginners.
β ASL Bundle Members receive instructor support, answers to their questions, How-To videos, ASL Tips & Strategies, additional sign language resources, an ASL Bundle Progress Chart, an entire Intro & Info course for navigating our 40+ courses, PDF resources, multiple ways to contact the instructor, access to our ALL Lesson Links spreadsheet, and ongoing updates.
β Udemy does NOT receive future courses or updates. We no longer upload content to Udemy. The current content is high quality but it will not grow.
β The ASL Bundle For Beginners DOES receive future courses AND ongoing updates. We started in 2020 with sixteen (16) sign language courses. Fast forward to the present and we currently have over forty (40+) American Sign Language courses. Wow! Time flies!
The ASL Bundle For Beginners continues to grow as we update it with new courses, new lessons, new daily emails, and digital resources. It's a work in progress and I'm thrilled to be part of the team that's building it!
β β One similarity between the Udemy courses and our ASL Bundle For Beginners is that students LOVE our courses! Students consistently give high ratings, praise, and positive feedback about their learning experience with Able Lingo ASL.
β The ASL Bundle For Beginners is designed for beginning sign language students who:
β’ Just want to jump in and start communicating in American Sign Language immediately.
β’ Are starting from zero or have little or no experience with ASL.
β’ Enjoy daily email lessons as a way to guarantee daily study and forward momentum.
β’ Want to improve their skills and supplement their ASL knowledge in addition to or in preparation for "live" classes.
β’ Enjoy studying stress-free, at their own pace, in their own home, for as much or as little time as they wish. Homeschoolers? Oh yeah.
β’ Don't have access to "live" ASL classes or don't feel comfortable participating in "live" interaction.
β’ Prefer more of a "jump in and just start signing" way of learning instead of a formal classroom-based approach with many other students.
β’ Enjoy short, bite sized lessons which don't overwhelm the learning process.
β’ Like using two (2) part testing to guarantee retention of their signing and understanding skills.
β’ Appreciate detailed, oral explanations of handshape, hand position, and hand motion for ASL signs, statements, questions, dialogues, narratives, etc.
β’ Need a convenient way to study ASL with their busy work, family, homeschooling, and life schedules.
β If you can say "YES" to any of the questions below, our ASL Bundle is a great fit for you.
β’ Have you always wanted to learn sign language but feel overwhelmed and unsure how to start?
β’ Are you excited and eager to start signing in ASL and want a clear, step by step path to do so?
β’ Are you so busy that in-person sign language classes are impossible for your schedule?
β’ Are you a self-starter and prefer learning sign language at your own pace?
β’ Do you deal with deaf people and have a desire to communicate more effectively?
β’ Have you searched but been unable to find a live ASL class in your area?
β’ Are you looking for online ASL courses that actually include review and testing?
β’ Are you excited to advance from single signs to sentences, dialogues, and conversations?
β’ Would you enjoy receiving daily, bite-sized email lessons to guarantee forward progress?
